I have always been someone who can run my hand across the wood of an old piece of furniture and have it transport me to a different time and place. I believe that photography has the power to elicit those same emotions. Every subject has its out unique feel and style, or vibe. My philosophy in photography is avoid fabricating scenarios, but rather develop an authenticity that connects a viewer with the story. I do this by selecting subjects and locations that highlight the known and lesser known gems of a community, using local subjects and models, and bringing to life local history and stories. This timeless approach is a powerful tool in bringing the true nature of a community into focus.
